4 Day, Inverness, & Isle of Skye
DAY 1
Edinburgh to Inverness/Loch Ness
We head out of the city and experience the magnificent Forth Bridges via South Queensferry, a World UNESCO Heritage site. Over the Queensferry Crossing to the Kingdom of Fife and beyond to the start of the Scottish Highlands and Perthshire.
We head to the Hisorical Medieval town of St. Andrews and a stroll on the Old Course before heading further North over the Tay Bridge to Dundee.
If we have time, we visit the ancient tombs of Clava Cairns.
We leave the best until last, we visit a sacred place in Scotland, Culloden Battlefield, where the Jacobites faced their last stand against overwhelming odds in 1746.
Highlights: Forth Bridges, Newtonmore Highland Folk Museum, Clava Cairns & Culloden Battlefield.
DAY 2
Inverness to Skye ( Via Torridon )
A stunning drive North and a short hike to the lovely Rogie Falls through some of Scotland’s ancient and rare pine forests. Heading west we head on the most beautiful of roads in wild ‘Wester Ross’. Through the 4 billion year old Torridon Mountains (give or take a year or two). A wee break in the beautiful village of ‘Sheildaig’ before heading up to the Bealach Na Ba, the steepest road in Scotland.
We arrive on Skye via the bridge late afternoon.
DAY 3
Skye Day Tour
We cross back over the Skye Bridge to discover an embarrassment of riches on the Isle of Skye from the stunning Qhuirang and the Old Man of Storr to Portree and Dunvegan Castle.
There are so many routes and different thing to see, your guide will chat to you about all of the options…including meeting Faeries and Giants!
Alternatively, a very pleasant tour taking in the Kylerhea ferry to Glenelg and discover stunning Lochalsh…off the beaten track! A lovely afternoon boat trip around Plockton Harbour.
DAY 4
Plockton to Edinburgh ( Via Mallaig )
Witches Trial & Jamies Ghost
Heading towards Perth, we divert into the countryside to Tibbermore Church, the scene for the Witches Trial for Claire and Gilles Duncan.
Now, to the kingdom of Fife and the stunning Medieval village of Falkland, where the ghost of Jamie is seen by Frank in Episope 1, season 1.
Here you can also visit 14th century Falkland Palace, frequented by Mary, Queen of Scots.

A fabulous tour for the Avid Outlander fan. This tour can be done in reverse order.
Overnighting in the Trossachs town of Callander is so close to where most of the outdoor scenes in season 5 were filmed in Callander Woods! Our second night needs no introduction, Inverness!
Our third night is in Highland Perthshire.
