Tour Description

Day 1: Edinburgh to Inverness

Start your journey from Edinburgh and head north, passing the iconic Forth Bridges. Stretch your legs with a walk through the beautiful Hermitage and explore the charming town of Dunkeld. The day ends at the poignant Culloden Battlefield, where the last battle on British soil was fought in 1746.

Day 2: Monsters & Movies

Travel the shores of Loch Ness with the chance to take an optional boat trip and explore the dramatic ruins of Urquhart Castle. Cross Invermoriston Bridge and end your day at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle—featured in 28 films!

Day 3: Southern Skye & Wildlife Adventure

Cross to the Isle of Skye and take the scenic drive to Elgol. Optional boat trip to Loch Coruisk offers chances to spot seals, whales, sharks, and sea eagles. End the day with a ride on the historic Kylerhea Ferry.

Day 4: Plockton to Ullapool

Brace yourself for Bealach na Bà—the steepest road in Scotland—then explore Shieldaig, the prehistoric rocks of Wester Ross, the shores of Gairloch, and finish with a walk through the impressive Corrieshalloch Gorge.

Day 5: Touring Harris

Discover Luskentyre, one of the world’s most stunning beaches. Experience a traditional Harris Tweed demonstration (except Sundays), visit Rodel Church—the final resting place of MacLeod clan chiefs—and drive the scenic Golden Road.

Day 6: Harris to Skye

Catch the morning ferry to Skye and explore the magical Fairy Glen, the Museum of Island Life, the striking Quiraing cliffs, and the dramatic Kilt Rock waterfall. Overnight location may adjust based on accommodation.

Day 7: Discover More of Skye

Visit the historic Dunvegan Castle and the quirky Giant MacAskill Museum. Enjoy a seafood lunch or cozy pub meal, then explore more Fairy Glen magic. Optional tasting at the Talisker Whisky Distillery.

Day 8: Skye to Oban via Hogwarts Express

Ferry from Armadale to Mallaig, then board the Jacobite Express (Hogwarts Express) and cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Detour through Glencoe for breathtaking views before arriving in Oban.

Day 9: Three Islands Adventure

A day trip to Mull, Iona, and, weather permitting, the remote island of Staffa with its spectacular sea caves. Visit Iona Abbey, a deeply spiritual place known as a “thin place” where heaven and earth are said to meet. Duart Castle may be visited if time permits.

Day 10: Oban to Callander

Climb to McCaig’s Tower for views over Oban, then explore St. Conan’s Kirk—a treasure trove of architectural styles. Take a scenic walk near Kilchurn Castle before heading to Callander for a masterclass in whisky or gin.

Day 11: Trossachs Trail

Hike to Bracklinn Falls, cruise around the Trossachs, and explore lochs, mountains, and pretty towns. Highlights include Rob Roy’s Loch Katrine, the bicycle tree at Brig o’ Turk, and a visit to Scotland’s only official “lake.”

Day 12: Trossachs to Edinburgh

After a final walk to Bracklinn Falls, explore the cinematic Doune Castle (seen in Outlander, GoT, and Monty Python). Capture iconic selfies with The Kelpies and, time allowing, stop at the medieval village of Culross. Return to Edinburgh by around 5pm.
