This tour can be taken from Edinburgh or Glasgow with slight adjustments.
As we follow in the foot steps of Jamie & Claire, our first port of call for a photo opportunity is Hopetoun House, home of the traitor, Duke of Sandringham in the series. Moving on in the same estate is Lallybroch (Midhope Castle). It is a ruin and cant get inside however, easily recognisable. In the grounds, Red Jamie hid from the Redcoats here so we’ll guide you there.
Onwards to the intimidating Blackness Castle which doubled up as Fort William in the programme. It was here that Jamie was flogged to an inch of his life.
Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots is the next location. This was Wentworth Prison, a very unpleasant scene filmed here.
A wee break from Outlander as we visit the stunning Kelpies...why ? Because they are there!
We leave the Highlight of the day until the end, Castle Leoch, Doune Castle , ancestral Home of the Clan Mackenzie.
DAY 2
Palace of Versailes, and beyond...

From out overnight stay in the quaint town of Callander, we journey North to Drummond Castle , which has lovely gardens where the scenes were shot creating the illusion of the Palace of Versailes.
It is now time for one of my favourite places on the tour, Tibbermore Church, where the Witches trial took place (You can also stand in the dock, protesting your innocence as you reveal the devils mark!)
A drive through lovely farmland to the Medieval town of Falkland, which was Inverness in the show. See the BB where the ghost of Jamie was seen by Frank. You can even have a coffee in the Vase shop!!
Our final visit of the tour will be Culross (Crainsmuir), where Claire was dragged through the streets, and the village square, where the young lad had his ear nailed to the pillory!

A fabulous tour taking in many of the iconic filming location in Outlander.
We overnight in the Trossachs town of Callander, where close by in Callander Woods, practically all of the outdoor scenes in season 5 were filmed. This is a great overnight location in order to maximise the places that we can visit.
If there are any locations not mentioned in the itinerary, we can adapt , if time permits.
