Tour Description

Day 1: Edinburgh to Skye (via Laggan)

Begin your adventure heading north across the Queensferry Crossing. Enjoy a forest walk through the ancient trees of The Hermitage, then pause in Pitlochry before entering the Cairngorms National Park. Stop for lunch and a dram at Dalwhinnie Distillery, the highest in Scotland, and visit the moving Spean Bridge Commando Memorial. Conclude the day at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, before crossing “over the sea to Skye” for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Skye Day Tour

With over 400 miles of rugged coastline, Skye is packed with natural wonders. Highlights may include the surreal Fairy Glen, dramatic Old Man of Storr, magical Fairy Pools, and sweeping views from Neist Point. Your guide will help shape the day to your pace and interests, possibly including local gems like Hugh’s Castle or a quiet lochside café.

Day 3: Skye to Callander (via Mallaig)

Board the ferry from Skye to Mallaig, tracing the route of the Jacobite Steam Train (aka the Hogwarts Express). Stop at the Glenfinnan Viaduct, then journey through the cinematic landscape of Glencoe and across the wild beauty of Rannoch Moor. Arrive in the Trossachs region and settle into the welcoming town of Callander.

Day 4: Callander to Edinburgh

Begin with a morning walk to the dramatic Bracklinn Falls, then visit the storied Doune Castle, famous for its appearances in Outlander, Monty Python, and more. Stop for incredible photos at The Kelpies, Scotland’s iconic steel horse-heads, and—if time allows—explore the medieval village of Culross before returning to Edinburgh around 5pm.

Our Guides

Our guides are more than just experts in Scotland’s history and landscapes—they’re storytellers who know how to turn every mile into a memory. Whether you’re walking through the whispering trees of The Hermitage, standing at the foot of Eilean Donan Castle, or hiking the cliffs at Neist Point, your guide will help you experience Scotland in a way that feels both deeply personal and totally unforgettable.

They’ll capture the moment as you cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct like a Hogwarts student, share tales of rebellion and royalty at Doune Castle, and point out the perfect picnic spot in Glencoe. Some guides sing, others tell jokes, but all are united by a love for Scotland—and for sharing it with travellers like you.

They know where to stop for a quiet dram, where to find a hidden view over Loch Carron, and how to make the most of your time on Skye. With flexibility, humour, and heart, our guides bring your Highland journey to life.

Let us show you the real Scotland—through the eyes of someone who knows it like home.
